PEEK یکی از شناخته‌شده‌ترین ترموپلاستیک‌های مهندسی است که برای کار در شرایط سخت طراحی شده و در عین سبک بودن، دوام و پایداری بالایی ارائه می‌دهد.

پیک بسپاری حلقوی و نیمه‌بلوری است. این پلیمر دارای مدول یانگ 3.6GPa و مقاومت کششی 90 تا 100MPa است. این ماده، ترموپلاستی بی‌رنگ با مقاومت حرارتی بسیار بالا است و در کنار آن، استحکام مکانیکی، مقاومت خمشی، استحکام پیچشی، مقاومت زیاد در برابر عوامل شیمیایی و الکتریسیته، و همچنین چقرمگی و سفتی بالایی دارد.

به دلیل همین ترکیب از ویژگی‌ها، PEEK در قطعاتی که هم دوام طولانی‌مدت و هم پایداری ابعادی اهمیت دارد، انتخابی بسیار مناسب به شمار می‌آید. این ماده در محیط‌هایی که مواد معمولی سریع‌تر فرسوده می‌شوند یا در برابر مواد شیمیایی آسیب می‌بینند نیز عملکرد قابل اعتمادی دارد.

این بسپار یکی از معدود مواد پلیمری است که می‌توان از آن در کاربردهای خلاء سازی فوق‌العاده بالا استفاده کرد. همچنین PEEK به‌طور ویژه در صنایع فضایی، خودروسازی، تله‌الکترونیک و صنایع فرایندی شیمیایی به کار می‌رود و در بسیاری از پروژه‌های صنعتی، گزینه‌ای قابل اتکا برای شرایط دشوار محسوب می‌شود.

Ketron® PEEK grades provide chemical and hydrolysis resistance comparable to PPS, while allowing operation at higher temperatures. PEEK 1000 delivers strong steam and wear resistance, and carbon-reinforced PEEK offers excellent wear performance. Our latest grade, PEEK HPV, is designed for outstanding bearing performance. PEEK can be used continuously to 480°F (250°C) and in hot water or steam without permanent loss in physical properties. In aggressive environments, PEEK serves as a high-strength alternative to fluoropolymers. It also carries a V-0 flammability rating and produces very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame.

As a general-purpose grade, PEEK 1000 is unreinforced and delivers the highest elongation and toughness across the PEEK family. The newly available black PEEK 1000 is especially suitable for instrument components where appearance matters, and for seal parts where ductility and inertness are important.
