Duratron U1000 PEI is an amorphous polymer known for its strength and its excellent resistance to both flame and heat. Because it can operate continuously at 340°F (170°C), it is well suited to high-temperature applications that also demand dependable performance. It is especially useful where stable dielectric behavior is needed across a broad frequency range.

This material also offers good resistance to hydrolysis, strong tolerance to acidic solutions, and the ability to endure repeated autoclaving cycles. Those characteristics make it valuable in environments that involve sterilization, moisture exposure, or aggressive chemical conditions.

Duratron U2100, U2200 and U2300 PEI are glass-reinforced versions of Duratron U1000 PEI, containing 10%, 20%, and 30% glass reinforcement respectively.
